After viewing the goth grip over Australian Fashion Week. My theory is that the crap rainy weather throughout summer brought out the black cloud. We at Lover got all sentimental for our fave dark tune "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus. Described by one reviewer on iTunes as the Goth "Stairway To Heaven" its meditative bass line, twitch and jangle guitar parts and midnight horror movie lyrics make it pure bliss. It set the perfect tone for the classic 1983 vampire film "The Hunger" and more recently M.M.Margiela put the intro on loop for his fall 2007 sharp shoulder pad runway extravaganza. Enjoy!
"Street Style" these days is a blog a dozen, but what helps to seperate the Sartorialists from the blind snappers, is an eye for detail and ensembles. One new website that has that "eye" is Turned Out.
One of our interns, Greta, is a contributor, and her big sis Maya has put the whole trans global experience together. With a mixture of collages, ink drawings, blogs and tidbits; settle in, you could be there for a while!
